Thank you for visiting! I first joined the Marine Corps on 17Dec1965 and was released from active duty on 10Dec1969. However, I saw the light and rejoined the Corps on 15Dec1970. I served in Vietnam from March 1967 to November 1968 and again from May 1972 until January 1973 (I left 2 days after they signed the peace accord). I was transferred to the Temporary Disability Retired List on 1Apr1980 and then the Permanent Disability Retired List on 1Mar1985. I was given 70% disability for a seizure disorder! I am still under treatment (outpatient) at the VA Medical Center, Memphis,TN and am now fully retired.
I am married to "Susan" and we have 3 grown children. Harry, Barbara Ann and Susan.....the 2 girls are married; the boy is on his own after having served in the Navy. The picture, below, is my wife and I at the Marine Corps Birthday Ball, Yokosuka, Japan in 1979. The day after this picture I had the seizure that got me retired!! What grandparent would pass up a chance to show the grandchildren?
