DID WE LOOSE IN NAM?

We are constantly hearing about loosing the war in Vietnam! Maybe we did, BUT I keep wondering about that. I wasn't a politician, general or even an officer, but I wonder.

I seem to remember that we went in there to for the same reasons that we went into Kuwait .... To help in removing an aggressor!

In 1973 the Paris Peace Accord was signed and the forces of the United States and of North Vietnam went home. Unlike Desert Storm we didn't keep a standing force next door. Is this the measure of accomplishing the mission? To do what we were sent there to do then stay there?

As we all know, two years later North Vietnam struck again, but that does not change the fact that the Uniformed Services of the United States, in 1973, accomplished the mission they were sent to South Vietnam for.

In 1975 the North Vietnamese struck into the South again. This time the U.S. government listened to the governed and stayed out of it. Because of this they say we lost the war.

I disagree! Our fighting forces, again, accomplished what they were sent to accomplish. When they might have been needed again, two years later, the forces were withheld, but the fact still remains that
THE MISSION WAS ACCOMPLISHED!
