Barnsley is a market town in the north of England. Once famous for its mining heritage, the familiar image of Barnsley is that of cloth caps and whippets.

That image has gone however, and the visitor can now see a forward looking and modern town. We have our own premiership football team, and our college has been rated amongst the top six in the UK.
