 PLOT:
A love triangle. The rich fisherman Pieter is after the beautiful and equally rich Sijtje, but she has eyes only for his mate, the poor fisherman Dirk. Pieter sabotages Dirk's ship, he is rescued and spends several years in America, returning just in time to defend Sijtje (who has married Pieter, thinking him dead) against Pieter, now an alchoholic and wife beater.
