Our other excursions took us to places like these

down the road and around a few corners are the cane fields on the other side of what is called "The Great Morass" (what we call a swamp). Here is some cane that is about ready to be burned for harvesting.

Next to the cane fields are the hills of Negril. Made of coral and volcanic rock its basically a jungle. Luckily there is nothing that can hurt you as you travel about the island. The worst thing is sand flies and mosquetos, there are no snakes or other critters that can harm you (well maybe a loose cow could trample you. :-)

A friend of mine is building his house. Last year he had the house built, now he is adding on some additions.

Jacky O's Boat now owned by the Grande Lido

Kaisers Cafe is a long time haunt of ours. For the past few years they have been closed, but this year they are re-opened and boy are they ever re-opened. All of the work work you see is hand laid tile. The entire complex is made of concrete with tile laid on top of it. I wonder how long it will last next to the sea.

The Negril Yacht Club is another of our favorite hangouts. Here you can see it from across the little bay which has our own beach. Just out from the beach, in front of the yacht club, is a reef which contains every form of sea life from squid to octopus to fish of every color.

Hey its Bob's Island Mon.

This is Rambo, I meet him on our first trip down and have been seeing him every time we go down. He has been working on the remodel of Kaisers but usually sells jewelery and stuff at Kaizers.

When it comes to cooking chicken Shorty is the king of the West End. Located across the street from the Yacht Club and next to MXIII (a concert venue) he is not only convenient but also has some of the best Jerk Chicken in Negril.

I don't think anyone ever told Short that 4 Stars are considered Top Notch and he is definitely 4 stars for chicken.

What day would not be complete without a sunset.

The Police have many unique signs in Jamaiaca, this is just one of the many different ways things are handled down there.
