Pledge to the Bible/Flag

Pour small amounts of tempera paint into shallow containers. Cut sponges into circles. Hang a long piece of butcher paper on a wall at your children's eye level. Give each child a paper plate and a sponge circle. Let the children dip their sponges into the paint, then press them all over their plates. Allow the paint to dry. To make a mural, hook the plates together in a row with brass paper fasteners. Add a plate with a caterpillar face drawn on it and two pipe cleaner antennae. Attach the paper-plate caterpillar to the butcher paper, arranging the plates so that the caterpillar appears to be moving.

I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God's hold Word

I will make it a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,

And will hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God.

I pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag

And to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands,

One brotherhood uniting all mankind

In service and love.
