On the cover of this issue we have the ASRF raffle car, shown nearing completion. The 1932 Ford two door tourer street rod with be on display at various major shows, swap meets and events around the country right up till the Geelong Nats when some lucky person will win this magnificent street rod. On behalf of all ASRF members, our thanks go to NSW rodders, Dave Hart, Dave Dorman and Ray Williams for building up the raffle car, with the support of the many sponsors who have contributed products and services for the tourer. Tickets in the raffle car are $5 each, and are on sale now through each State Divisional Council, at events, or they can be ordered direct through the National Secretary's Office.
This year's State Title Shows have all been very successful, with the latest ones held in Adelaide and Newcastle no exception. Inside we have colour features on both the SAHRA and Rickshaws Hot Rod & Street Machine Spectaculars. Plus two neat Chevs from Queensland as our feature cars this time; Geoff Brown's classy, full fendered roadster, and Wilma Seabert's tough, big-block, flamed hi-boy. These two Chevs show how two hot rods of the same year can be so different. And, for the Ford freaks, we have Geoff Rea's '32 roadster undergoing a transformation.
We hope you enjoy reading issue 15, and, if you are interested in having your cool ride, project or a rod run featured in the national newsletter, contact Chris at the National Secretary's Office to discuss your article. Street Rodding News is about ASRF members and their hot rods and customs. Articles from members are always welcome. Don't be shy, give it a go. You might surprise yourself!
