1999 ASRF Raffle Car

The ASRF raffle car graces our cover this issue, and doesn't it look great! The '32 was ready for its maiden showing (in near completed form) at the recent Rickshaws Hot Rod & Street Machine Spectacular, Newcastle.
The master of custom paint, Dave Hart, has transformed the paint design of Andrew Parish (Maitland Street Rodders) into a stunning reality, as the large crowds attending the Rickshaws show would agree. And, the people behind the spray gun at Ed's Body Shop of Katoomba will no doubt be pretty pleased with themselves, and rightly so, because they have applied the ICI Auto Color paint with an exceptional amount of skill.

As mentioned in past updates, the ASRF raffle car is a Deuce Customs fully fendered '32 Ford 2 door touring, sitting on a Rod City Repro's rolling chassis. Wheels and tyres have been supplied by Ausam Wheels. The car has a very healthy Pro Stroke Engine's 383ci stroker Chev V8, and features many trick bits from Hot Rod Hardware. It will be on display at many events over the coming months. Some of the major events it is scheduled to appear at are:

• Hospital Benefit Parade, Geelong Victoria 6th November
• Bright Rod Run, Victoria 7-8th November
• Bendigo Swap, Victoria 14-15th November
• Summernats, Australian Capital Territory 31st Dec-2nd January '99
• USA Day, Tasmania 17th January '99
• Victoria State Title Show, 23-26th January '99
• Rock 'n' Roll Run Albury, New South Wales 19-21st Feburary '99
• Ballarat Super Swap, Victoria 26-27th Feburary '99

Tickets for the raffle car will be $5 each, and will be on sale at all the above events. They are also available through your State Divisional Council, many ASRF clubs or by direct order through the National Secretary's Office.

If you would like to purchase tickets for the raffle rod, fill in the accompanying order and send with your payment (include a stamped, self addressed envelope) to the: National Secretary's Office, PO Box 1748 Cleveland DC Qld 4163, and your tickets will be sent by return mail to you.

There is also an intermediate prize of a Panasonic Video Camera valued at $1000 to be drawn on 3/4/1999. The First prize 1932 Ford 2 door Tourer Street Rod will be drawn on 4/4/1999 to coincide with the 14th Nationals.
