Junior Rodder
Laura is 5 years old, and is one of our newer Junior Rodder Club members. Laura's big sister Zoe is already a Junior Rodder. The picture on this page shows Laura and Zoe in the dickey seat of their Mum's 1936 Ford Coupe, which they have since sold. Now the Sturt's have a '30 Model 'A' Tudor, with lots of room in the back seat for the girls.

Here's a game for you to try when you are in the hot rod on a rod run. It's called "Slogans". The aim of the game is to turn the letters of number plates into slogans. For example EFP might be 'Elephant for President' or BUC might be 'Big Ugly Club'. Don't take too long in making up the slogans, the faster they come out, the funnier they can be. Have fun!
Hello, my name is Alex Henderson. I am 15 years old. My family and I are members of Adelaide Hot Rodders. I thought other members might be interested to read about a Model Night our club organised last year. It was held in July (I'm sorry this article has taken so long to write, but the film was in the camera for 6 months!)

The club hired the local Scout Hall. It was a cold, wet night, but we had a big log fire blazing inside the hall, and a sausage sizzle and softdrinks available on the verandah outside. Over 300 models were entered. The standard was very high, and the detail, finishing touches and presentation of many of the models was just amazing. Obviously many, many hours had gone into their creation. There was a junior section for model builders under 14 years of age. Six trophies were awarded, including one for the junior section.
In the middle of the hall, between the tables of models we had a miniature dragstrip set up, and people were able to choose a drag car to race. (That's my Dad and I in the picture with our hands in our pockets watching the drag strip proceedings).

The other photo is of my desk. I spend many hours creating Hot Rods in Lego Technic. This is a street-rodded Anglia I'm working on at the moment, now that my exams are over.
So long, Alex.
