Entry One-Hundred Eighty-Eight

Train Tracks, Sleep Tracks, Bus Stop

Another few days have passed since the last entry. And a great few days they were. My life is going so well right now it's unbelievable. The only few things I have to protest against are as follows:

First of all, I don't have a lot of space in my room, so it always seems dirty. I want a clean room. As a matter of fact, this is actually going to become a possibility in a few years, because my parents are planning on moving out of this house. This summer we're probably going to be getting DSL. There are a bunch of small little issues that I'm thinking of so quickly right now it's hard to write them down.

For example, I'm thinking about college. I'm considering working for a great deal this summer so that I'll be able to put away a few thousand dollars for college, and spend some on an efficient PC Laptop, which I could both play video games on and do word processing. I'd also want to get a cheap and industrious printer, which had good ink cartridge sustenance. I figure in college the majority of the notes I'd take in class would be on a laptop, especially if I go to a college based on psychology. It'd be very convenient just to have a computer notepad, and to able to take notes on lectures while sitting in front of a computer, especially with my typing skills. I'm sure it'd also be cool if I had an airport card, and I could be on the internet while walking around the campus. That'd be nifty, don't you think?

Also, tomorrow, I plan on buying one of those little cassettes that actually attach to a CD player, where you can play a CD player out your Car Stereo's Cassette Player. The best thing about this system is that I also have an AC adapter, which means that I wouldn't be draining the batteries of my CD player while all this is going on, which saves the cost of the batteries.

There are a lot of little projects I want to start, as you can all see. Cleaning, working, and planning for the future. It sounds like I'm getting all grown up!
Speaking of which, my 16th birthday party was a lot of fun. I'm glad that a good number of people (25 or so) showed up. I wasn't so happy that a lot of my friends whom I really wanted to come were not able to show up though, especially since they're some of my favorite dancing partners, and they weren't there to dance with me. My parents were able to see me dancing for the first time, but Liz isn't much of a public dancer so I had to be considerate of how much I was swinging her around in public. She's so cute! Anyway, her and Merlin came back and spent the night. Amanda sadly didn't show up, even though I'd invited her to come over for the party and the night. She had other obligations, which she explained to me (I'll explain later). When Liz and Merlin came back, we played Scrabble, made snacks, talked, drank, and of course Liz and I had some time to spend together to hang out alone in my room. It was great, I had such an amazing time that it's almost difficult to describe my felicity. When we finally went to bed it was around 4:00 in the morning.

When we were awakened at 11:30 the next morning by my Dad yelling through our door, "Ollie Ollie Oxen Free!" (Come out come out wherever you are), my mom made French Toast and fresh cut watermelons. They were so juicy and delicious, it was wonderful! Anyway, it powered up our day! Liz decided that it'd be fun to go to her house, so I secretly stashed some money in my wallet, and took them out to lunch later. When we arrived at Liz's house, I finally got a chance to meet her mom and her step father. I actually liked her mother quite a lot, I was surprised because Liz said I wouldn't. Maybe the mother was just putting on a show though, and isn't regularly that kind. I thought it was nice talking to her though, and would like to do it again sometime. I didn't like the stepfather though, I found him to be a little bit rude. He didn't seem to pay attention, or even care in the least that I was meeting him. Regardless of that, Liz called Amanda, and we met drove with her to a school near Liz's house. It was really fun, we played basketball and I climbed on playground equipment and such things. I was really tired by the end though, and my knee hurt, so I decided to take it easy. After that, I took them out to lunch, as previously described, and then we went back to Liz's house. We played a game of pool, went back and started watching "The Fifth Element", and then realized that it was approaching 9:00. We drove Merlin home, then Liz and I came back to my house

.
I don't think I've had a better talk with her in the entire time we've known each other. Not only was it productive, but it was just neat . . . She said some things that bothered me of course, but that doesn't annoy me at all. I figure if a person agrees with their couple on everything that the relationship is dead, and that they don't have enough in common. You see, my explanation for this is that a person who argues with another person has a similar interest and a similar passion in that same subject: therefore they're arguing because they both have information on the subject and either enjoy it or it displeases them. So, Liz and I have a lot of similar interests, and it makes for interesting discussions. We also talked about some more serious things though, such as if we were to have sex and she got pregnant, what exactly would happen. She told me she didn't believe in abortion. I told her that meant I definitely wouldn't do anything until she got some form of birth control, and I got some condoms. I don't want a bunch of mini-Bob's running around when I'm 16 years old. I want to wait around 9 more years before I have kids, because I think that'd be an ideal age. Between 25-30 I am still in excellent physical shape - I'm nearly in my prime, and yet as my child grows up I am starting to develop my paternal instincts. I digressed off the topic, however I think the point is still there - we talked about other things. She said she wouldn't want me to discard my dreams, so if anything were to happen she'd just move away. That really upset me. She also said if she got really sick on cancer she'd just move away. That upset me even more, but it almost describes one side of her in a few sentences.

That night we also went the closest physically we've ever gone. I learned some pretty cool things about her. She learned some things about me. We haven't had sex yet, neither of us are ready. We probably will when her treatment is over in the summer, but it happens when it happens. Either way, they're be protection. I'm not stupid.

I don't know if I wrote about it again, but Liz's cancer is once again malignant. She's going to take radiation treatment (she told me this tonight) this summer, and she'll be a bit sick for awhile. I told her I'd help take care of her. She told me she didn't want me to see her sick, and I told her that she was speaking nonsense, because I care about her.

Today was a great day. Liz left that night at 4:00 in the morning, so I woke up around 1:00 in the afternoon. My sleep track is totally off - as an example, I'm writing at 11:30 A.M. right now, and I'm having a great time doing it, I'm not even really tired. I'm listening to one of Merlin's presents to me. Oh! Presents! I need to write about those. One second.

Presents! Merlin gave me a copy of his senior picture, some fuzzy dice for my car, a picture from his party, a fantastic card that was actually really touching, and a Jimmy Eat World CD. I was totally excited by all the gifts. Liz gave me a two page letter, a dragon incense burner, a dragon poster, and she did my nails. I thought it was totally cute that she did my nails, and that her gifts were extremely thoughtful. I told her that just having her as a girlfriend was enough of a present, but she didn't seem to understand that. Or she did, and she's just a super girlfriend, which is more likely.

Off topic, but Merlin and I think that I'm going to grow up to have a 9 to 5 shadow (I shave at 9 and it's back after work at 5).

Anyway, what I was going to say, was that I ended up waking up around 1:00, eating, and then doing busywork around the house for a good portion of the day. When my Dad got home from work, I spent around 10 minutes looking for my keys, then finally we took off when I found them, and we visited my grandma. I got an hour and thirty minutes of driving in, which was good practice. I think we need to go out and visit the residential areas around the DMV before my driving test though, because I've heard that's basically what the course is. It's going to be on June 6th, D-Day coincidentally, so I'll let everyone know how it goes. I'm actually a bit nervous, which is unusual. Despite all that though, I feel prepared, and like I'm a responsible driver. After I did all the driving practice, I ended up trying to show for Liz's birthday present. All the stores were closed on accounts of Memorial Day. I was disappointed at that, but at least I had some time to think about things I could get her.

One of the things is that I'm taking her out for a Live Band Dance at Ellington Hall on June 1st. Besides that, my parents are buying us tickets to the musical: The Sound of Music. She was excited about both of the things, and I think they'll be fun dates. I need to think of some good gifts though - I have some ideas but there's no way I'm giving them out on here. I'm a stealthy little guy, so I'll tell you all afterwards.

I've been playing Starcraft very wisely. My creativity is permeating through my gameplay. I haven't lost in awhile. Then again, I haven't played Steve or any of the really amazing Zerg players. I did play some decent Zerg players, but I beat them all.

Anyway, it's getting kind of late, so I should get going. I've probably got a lot of schoolwork to do tomorrow, being that it was a three day weekend. I just know I have tutoring after school, then Liz is going to call me after she's done shopping for a bathing suit. She said she was going to model in it for me, and take me to the beach. I told her that it was going to be the other way around, and that I was going to watch the sunset from some dunes with her. It should be pretty cool either way.

Take care my friends, I've gotta get some shuteye.
