Never doubt Surely you've had the frustrating experience of going into an Israeli government office or a ministry or a university or college office or any other major institution in Israel and after much effort you just gave up on your mission and came home disappointed because you were not able to accomplish what you had gone in to accomplish. The frustration increases when you realize that there are some people who are able to manage despite the bureaucracy and they do get what they want without pounding on tables, without getting upset, and without fighting or arguing.
The Proteksia group has representatives of some of these offices and it also has people who have experience suffering through the establishment.
We will work together to help all of the rest of us find our way around the organizational bureaucracy in order to be able to help everybody find what they need and get what they deserve.
Did you ever hear somebody who had Protektzia complain about Vitamin P? Of course not! It's only a problem for those who don't have it.
The concept of protektzia has a bad name because it means that some people who know people in the right places will get assistance - and you won't. That's not fair or democratic.
Of course, it's only unfair when somebody else has that protektzia.
Now, those of us who join this Protektzia group will have protektzia. It's not that bad any more, is it?
If you're like most of us, you don't have the foggiest idea where to turn in order to get basic information that you need. Israel's immense, intense, and sometimes overwhelming bureaucracy make it nearly impossible to find out the simplest things - like which office handles your issues, and when they are open. As a result, most of us don't know where to turn.
That's where Protektzia comes in.
The Protektzia Forum welcomes queries relating to government offices. We'll use our collective knowledge and experience to help each other. After all, somebody on the group is likely to have already faced a problem or situation similar to yours.
We won't give you the official answers. If you want the official answers, go to the officials. We will give you the answers based on our own knowledge and experience. We will also tell you what we tried that failed so that you won't repeat our mistakes.
Protektzia: Better than a neighbor; almost as good as a brother-in-law.
