This half-day conference will highlight recent developments of
the research, education and patient care activities of the discipline
of immunology conducted at the Immunology Center over the past
forty years by those who had their initial training at Georgetown and who
went on to establish their own world-wide interdisciplinary programs
in this rapidly expanding field.
Commencing with the 6th Annual Robert T. Scanlon Memorial Lecture on
immunodeficiencies from agammaglobulemia to AIDS, this year's program
will also feature the role of infectious diseases, vaccine microbiology, cytokines and inflammation, allergic and other immunologically mediated diseases.
Audience participation is an integral part of the program.
