| Most of us want to avoid the REAL truth about our situation at all costs, and the reason is simple. As humans we live a life that is based on a lie. We are really nothing more than a seed. A seed that fell from something that once was alive, but now, as a seed, we are dead. Sure a little water and sunlight can bring forth new life in us, but most of us never get to that point. It is almost impossible to escape the feeling that there must be something more to life, but most people never find it. And I'm not talking about going to Church or religious morality either. Unfortunately one of the worst places to look for real LIFE is in many churches. Far too many "church-goers" are stuck in the same rut we all are... watching the minutes of our lives tick by while we fearfully wait for the end. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The beginning of mankind was far different from it's end. God created the perfect world for man. It was the perfect creation of a perfect God. It was a world of COMPLETE safety and joy. There isn't a way to even describe how perfect it was. There is just no way for us to understand how wonderful it was. But man changed all that. There isn't enough room here to fully explain just what happened in the garden and why we were cut off from God, but the important thing is we were cut off, and the very NATURE of man- what we were CREATED to be- changed. I often hear people say, "We're only human and God knows that we will still sin." Please understand this minute that we were NOT created to be human (at least not like this) and we were NOT created to be sinful.. |

| Even religious people often overlook that point. Adam and Eve were not normal people like us who committed a sin and made God angry at them. Adam and Eve were something completely different from us AT THEIR CORE. They were able to be in the presense of God's holiness without fear or shame. If ANY of us stood alone before God in our present condition, we would immediately be vaporized. And in that blink of an eye before we were vaporized, we would WISH to be vaporized because our fear and shame would be more than WE could bear. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| So now we all live a shell of an existance cut off from God because WE can't be near Him. It isn't because God hates us, or is unreasonable. In fact He's done the unthinkable to make a way for us to be able to stand in His presense again. This is the point where most people would begin to tell you how God sent His only Son to die for your sins, but it goes SO much deeper than that. When Jesus the Christ walked the earth He repeatedly called Himself "Son of Man" and "Son of God". He was both. He WAS and IS the Son of God, but He was also the Son of Man. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| You see we call each other "man" all the time and think nothing of it, but there was only one person that God named "man". His name was Adam, and the word Adam means man. You see Jesus lived the life on earth that we as the descendants of Adam were supposed to be living. He walked and talked with God the way WE are supposed to be doing. He LIVED the life that God had planned out in the beginning. In fact, with the exception of a few stories about His birth and His youth, His story in the Bible starts off the same way that Adam and Eve's did. He was tempted by the deceiver, and He was promised glory if only He would rebel against God. "Man" failed this test. The "Son of Man" passed it with such flying colors that all of eternity was changed in an instant. The biggest change of all? For the first time since Adam we have a real chance at the life God created for us. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
