I am a non-professional genealogist who enjoys research and sharing my findings with others in the family. I am retired after spending a 40 year career in the Natural Gas industry. I'm happily married to Sandra Yvonne Guetens and have five surviving adult children. My interest in genealogy was prompted by my mother-in-law who urged me to discover whether I was descended from Governor Thomas Dudley of Massachusetts colony. I am not!
In the course of my research I have discovered many "cousins" and continue to find more of them all the time. I lived in West Haven, then in Hartford in Connecticut during my early years, then relocated to Mont Vernon and now Nashua, in New Hampshire. I am a member of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists (CSG), the New Hampshire Society of Genealogists (NHSOG), The New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS), the National Genealogical society (NGS), The Godfrey Library, and several Historical societies. I also am a member of the Board of Governors of CSG and a book reviewer for their quarterly publication The Connecticut Nutmegger. Two other genealogy related organizations in which I am involved are The William Dudley Family Association (I am President) and The Society of Middletown First Settlers Descendants (I am Treasurer).
I currently work with a group of senior citizens who are interested in Family History and who call themselves the Senior Searchers.
