テイラー レイアウト
この鉄道模型はイギリスの田舎サイド「デボン」をもとにして、クライストチャーチに住んでいたテイラー氏が15年以上の年月をかけつくりあげたもので、彼の死後遺族によってガーデンシティモデルロードクラブに寄贈されました。 これは OO ゲージのレイアウトで２つの街からなっています。: タウェルトンとヘリーズベイです。
It includes automated models of a sawmill, windmill and cablecar along with a large number of buildings each of which was hand built.
Although this track plan does not give detail, it does give an indication of the layout's operation. Limited space in the club resulted in the layout being built against 3 walls which makes it very difficult to access and maintain.
For a number of years the main double track has been automated for the benefit of visitors and in recent times some changes to the track design have been made. Subject to fundraising and manpower it is hoped to complete this upgrade which will provide the public with a variety of operating trains to view.
