| The Kansas Urban Forestry Council planted
a Northern Red Oak on the Expo Center Grounds during the Tree City USA celebration. Chairman Finlen, explained the benefits of the Northern Red Oak in our landscapes; a great sturdy tree easily grown all over the state, provides summer shade, winter interest and protection (you will notice the tree holds its leaves) and food for wildlife. |
