�� Barry� Ragan,� Volunteer Forester� of the City of ��� St.� John� was� instrumental�� in� the estab- lishment� of� the�� St. John Tree Board�� in 1996. And since that� time, has gone a guy who liked trees�� with� � little�� forestry � knowledge � to�� a self-taught �� "small �� � town"�� visionary��� who��� has �accomplished big things.�The board under his leadership has� qualified � for� � TREE CITY USA� every�� year�� and� � has � � received��� two�� Growth Awards.

. He� has� also� proved� to be talented in fund raising, receiving a grant� of $11,2000��� through ����the�� KS��Wildlife ��and� Parks Trails Grant program.
