Will of Katharine Darrington

 

Bibb County, the State of Georgia

I with my own good will hereof mentioned, I Katharine Darrington this 27th day of September in the year of our Lord 1826, I do give unto Charles Darrington my [son] and Eblandy Darrington my daughter the following property as my beloved children. I feel this my duty. I do not know how long may I exist in this world, and in consequence of the same I do make this my last will and testament. I do bequeath unto Charles Darrington and Katarine Darrington the following property: two cows and calves and two feather beds and bedsteads and furniture and nineteen heads of hogs and six lot of delft plates and two sets of cups and saucers and a new loof for weaving of cloth and two pair of bedsteads and one table and one half dozen of chairs and one hundred dollars. In my last will and testimony I do this year and date above mentioned without [purswearsion?] for my son and daughter Charles Darrington + Elebanny Darrington.

Personally came James Mattock, who being duly sworn deposes and saith that he saw Katharine Darrington sign, seal, and deliver the within deed a gift for the purposes therein mentioned and that the [illegible] subscribed the same as a witness + saw Nathan Carter do so likewise.
