Etheldred Futral (1812-1894) and Emeline Jones (1814-1884)
Etheldred Futral was born on July 28, 1812 in Greene County, Georgia, the eldest son of Benjamin Futral and Nancy Smith. Etheldred grew up in Greene County and in Henry County after 1823, marrying Emeline Jones (born October 22, 1814), daughter of Nimrod Jones and Elizabeth Gray, on October 29, 1834 in Henry County. Etheldred and Emeline raised seven children in Pike and later Spalding Counties, where Etheldred was listed both as a farmer and a blacksmith. Emeline died there on June 28, 1884, and Etheldred on December 2, 1894. Both are buried in the Crawley-Futral family cemetery in Spalding County. Solomon Jones Futral, born May 2, 1852; married Martha Lula Rogers on December 15, 1870 in Spalding Co.; died August 22, 1924 in Spalding Co.
Augustus Etheldred Futral, born July 5, 1859; married Lottie Rogers on December 18, 1879 in Spalding Co.; died April 28, 1924 in Spalding Co.
