INDEX

[855] [Alexander Ban Donaldson.GED]

[856] I may be wrong and on the wrong line. I did a search of KY for William
M. Edwards and found one living in Barren Co. KY. The gravestone at the
Cemetary on Quincy Street, Pittsburg, KS shows his wife being
Martha F.. Looking at the Barren Co. KY census, 1850, I found a child
living not to far from William M. Edwards. Her name was Martha F.
Allen. I'm only assuming at this point that William M. Edwards married
this Martha F. Allen at a later Date. I have to make a trip to Barren
Co. KY to search for the marriage record to confirm all of this. At this
date, July 26, 2000, I have not yet made that trip.

[857] Line numbers for William M. Edwards in the 1850 census was 1047/1067;
Martha F. line numbers or
addresses were 1246/1270.

[858] William M. Edwards was a farmer. Have reason to believe that there are
more siblings and children who are on the 1850 census. Will have to do
major rearch. Son William M. Edwards serverd in the Civil War losing one
eye. Will have to research Veteran Records to find which regiment and
rank. He fought for the Union side. Should have been drawing Veteran's
benefits, there are several William Edward in the Veteran records, have
to figure out which one.

[272] [Alexander Ban Donaldson.GED]

[273] Served in the Civil War, lost an eye, According to John M. Gallagher,
Grandson of William M. Edwards.
Born in Barren Co. Ky along with his wife, according to 1850 Barren Co.
Ky. cenuses.
Birth and death Dates found on their tombstone in cemetary, located on
Quincy Street, next to Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Ks.,
Crawford Co.
