My 2nd Great Grandparents were SILAS DELOSS FLINT M.D. and ICEBENDA ROGERS. I've been looking for their parents or siblings. Information on these two: SILAS FLINT was born in Amity, New York, July 18, 1827. Icebenda was born in 1830 we believe in New
ork also. They were married June 1848 probably New York also. SILAS was a doctor in New York, Wisconsin, New York again and again in Adams, Adams county, Wisconsin. The last move to Wisconsin lasted over 30 years. They then moved to California in 1890
for health reasons. I have not been able to find out who his parents were. ICEBENDA ROGERS was believed to be an Iroquois but we have not been able to prove that information. I do have a land deed where COLONEL D. AND CARRIE ROGERS sold 80 acres to SIL
S FLINT in Adams County, Wisconsin. This was in 1867 and Colonel D. & Carrie Rogers were living in Friendship, New York at that time. I wonder if they were related to Icebenda?
SILAS AND ICEBENDA FLINT had four children: Andrew E. married Hattie Mae Mcnabb and had two children; John and Arthur. Emment married ? and had eight children; Laura, Elmer, Elam, Louis, Silas, Eva, Roy, Ray. CLARENCE EUGENE MARRIED CARRIE ISABEL WAR
(My Great Grandparents) their fourth child was Polly Calista who had three husbands. Three children to William White: Colonel, William and Carrie. Polly naming her first son Colonel leads me to believe my theory of COLONEL D. AND CARRIE ROGERS BEING R
LATED TO ICEBENDA ROGERS.
I would appreciate any ideas or information. THANK YOU, CAROL
