The faculty will challenge your individualistic abilities while providing a supportive atmosphere. With this environment you will have the opportunity to specialize in an area of the arts that most interests you and most compliments your unique abilities. Benedictine's programs are specially designed for the further development of your unique talents and prepare you to successfully enter the career force in the field of your choice. An arts administration graduate is uniquely prepared for careers in the many diverse businesses related to the arts. Music graduates are trained to utilize their talents to teach and perform music. Studio art graduates develop the visual and technical skills that are flexible and adaptable to many art-related professions.
"Becoming an artist is deemed to be the most significant use of the mind and heart, and one of the most challenging." William Scarlato, a fine art faculty member. He has a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree from Northern Arizona University in Painting and received his Master in Fine Arts concentration in Printmaking from Yale University. He has passionately worked at Benedictine for 15 years and has been teaching for 25 years total with three years experience in Sussex, England. He is only one example of our exemplary faculty. Benedictine is a traditional four-year university and offers arts administration, music and studio art. Students also have a fine art and music minor available to satisfy those who do not want to primarily major in the arts.
