Hello! Are you a woodwind or brass player or a
percussionist who would like to play a wide range of music
for wind band in a friendly, relaxed, musical atmosphere? Would
you like the experience of playing to over
100,000 people on a single day, and to have the opportunity of
participating in performances with top
European bands? Do you enjoy foreign travel? Have you ever
wondered what it is like to play for major
ceremonial occasions or in a Tattoo?
If your answer to these questions is yes, LCCB can offer YOU all
of these opportunities! Come along to
St. Margaret's Episcopal Church Hall, Easter Road to our Thursday
rehearsals from 7.30 pm. to 9.45 pm.
Your playing should be at a level of Grade 5 and above, but for
promising players below that level,
coaching can be made available to develop your skills. We
currently have vacancies in all sections.
What does LCCB expect of players? Since it is a busy Concert and
Marching Band, the main requirements,
apart from musicianship and ability, are regular attendance,
enthusiasm, and loyalty. However, if you
have mobility problems then dont worry; there is ample
concert work in the annual schedule to ensure that
you would be a very valuable Band member.
If you have any other questions, please contact me.
Fred Frayling-Kelly.
