A certain Internet e-mail publicity vehicle did not see fit to publicize this popular series of Jewish groups, although they did promote Islamic groups.
The resulting outpouring of support and the demand for unbiased equal time for Jewish issues was heartwarming. However, the discussion on one of these forums was accompanied by three lone Jewish dissenters, who wanted to remove the topic from the agenda.
That's the essence of a Golus mentality.
One of the lone Jewish voices turned the tables, by accusing me of having a Golus mentality myself.
After all (according to his argument), I live in relative security, and I enjoy the benefits of my host country. If I really believed in my cause, I would drop my own Golus mentality and live in Israel, despite the dangers, bombings, attacks, shootings, and stonings. My correspondent told me that I have no right to accuse others of ignoring antisemitism or of having a Golus mentality until I put myself in their place.
To which I responded that Israel has been my home since 1974, and that I have remained here without leaving, since 1975.
