Hi Keypal,

My school is Levendale Primary. Our uniform is dark blue and red and our rugby tops are horizontal stripes of those colours. We wear blue trousers (pants). We have 27 people in the whole school and only 10 in our class. We live in Tasmania and I live in a farming area called Woodsdale.

My two older sisters go to Oatlands District High School which is about an hour by bus from where we live. It is very cold during the winter. Last week we had snow and had to go home early.

Hear from you soon,

Bye

Dear Friend

Hi, my name is Megan (girl) and I am in grade 6 and I am 11 years old.

Our school is Levendale Primary and we wear a blue and red uniform. Our tops are T-shirts which are red and we wear blue pants. Our rugby tops are red and blue horizontal stripes.

Our school is very small and the room we are in is almost 100 years old. There are only 2 buildings in the school - one is like a house, the other is a classroom with the offices and a canteen attached.

We have an oval to play on as well as outdoor climbing equipment.

Our area is very bushy. The roads are dirt and the land is very hilly.

Last week we had snow and had to go home early otherwise the bus may not have been able to get all the children home.

That's a bit about us,

Hear from you soon,

Megan

Dear Friends,

My name is Katie (girl) and we wear rugby tops which are blue and red with blue track pants. The boys wear sandshoes or runners or when we are not doing sport, blundstone boots.

This week is Wuppy Week which is a fundraising thing for the Royal Guide Dogs for the Blind and the Wuppy is a little toy dog about 5 cm high which clings onto your jumper.

I live in an old house and come to Levendale School which is about 8km away. At my school we have a water fall about 4 km from the school up the bush.

I play hockey on Saturdays. So far we have won every game. It is fun to play.

There are 27 students in the school and we have 2 buildings not very big. The little kids are in one room and we are in the other which is an old house almost 100 years old.

Write back soon,

Katie (10 years old)

Hello from Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia.

Allow us to describe our school. We attend the Pialba State school - one of eight schools in the town. We have a grassed oval with 2 cricket pitches, tennis court, and 2 large sand pits.

Most of the classrooms are on ground level. We are in a second story classroom. Our classroom, like the others has 3 computers.

Next door is a High School and not far away are the University and Technology College.

Our school is the second biggest with 850 students and 36 teaches.

Our school has year levels from Pre-school to year 7. In each year level we have classes which take the letter of the teacher. We are in 6h with Mr Hill, with 29 pupils, with Wayne arriving today from New South Wales. We have 15 boys and 14 girls.

Our uniform is a blue shirt and black shorts for boys and pleated skirt for girls with footwear compulsory, no hat ,no play.
