"Deadline by Randy Alcorn. This book was excellent! It's about a guy who's an unbeliever, and his two best friends are killed in a car crash. The next week, he finds out the crash wasn't an accident, and he tries to find out what really happened. Meanwhile, one of his friends, a Christian, is in Heaven watching over him. It's an excellent book, and definitely gives you something to think about, both about current events and about Heaven." - Dave

"Left Behind is a REALLY good book! It is written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. I'm still in the process of reading it (there are 468 pages!), but it's great so far. The story is about the end of the earth. God has taken all the true Christians away in the blink of an eye (the Rapture), and everyone else is - guess what - Left Behind. Some of the main characters are after the truth, which they find in the Bible. By the end, some of them have converted to Christianity after figuring out where their family and friends have gone (heaven). Since all the Judgements that are talked about in Revelation have to happen, there are 4 additional books in this series and at least one more to come. Read them if you get the chance!" -Christina

“Last week I wrote about the book Left Behind. Since then I have finished that book and read the 2nd one in the series as well. This 2nd one is called ‘Tribulation Force’. The characters are the same, with a few additions. Four of the characters make up the tribulation force - Bruce, Buck, Chloe and Rayford. The Antichrist is very visible and quickly rising to a world dominating position. There are witnesses preaching in Isreal and a treaty is signed with Isreal. This is the beginning of the last 7 years of the world. At the end, the very 1st judgement is in the process. I can’t wait to start the 3rd book! I still am recommending these, and that recomendation is getting stronger by each page I turn!” -Christina

“I was reading in your newsletter about the Left Behind series. I'd like to confirm that they're great. I started reading them about two years ago and am always waiting for the next. There are currently five published out of the 7. Left Behind, Tribulation Force, Nicolae, Soul Harvest, and Apollyon. The next to be published is called Assasins. These books by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins are great. Another good end-times book is called "Seal Of Gaia" Written by Marin Maddoux.” - Jillian

“As she said, there are 5 books printed at the moment. I’ve read 4 of them! So far I’ve told you about Left Behind, and Tribulation Force. The time around I get to talk about book #3, Nicolae. This is, as the authors say, about the Antichrist’s rise to power. The judgements are coming in full force, and people are having a hard time surviving. The Tribulation Force is going through some tough times, and having so much exposure to the Antichrist (2 of them work for him!) isn’t exactly helping anything. These are VERY GOOD BOOKS! “Book 4 of the Left Behind series is called Soul Harvest. I read it a couple weeks ago, but I’ll do my best telling you about it. The world is a huge mess from all the tribulations. The Tribulation Force has lost some people by this point and one of them is hurt from the tribulations. All the believers are marked with a cross on their foreheads by God which only other Christians can see. Apollyon is the 5th book of the Left Behind series. I read it last week, so let me think for a second. Well, the tribulations are continually getting worse and following the course that is written in Revelation. The sun and stars have all been darkened, there’s a plague of locusts and a bunch more. The Tribulation Force has had some hard times, but who knows what kind of stuff is in their future? Well, I won’t be able to write about book 6 for awhile, I have to find someone who ownes it, it just came out last week!” - Christina

“JESUS FREAKS by DC TALK. This book is about martyrs. Definately not all of them, but many of the significant ones all the way from the 1st, Stephen in the Bible, to Cassie from Colarado. Well written, especially with all the Bible verse references for each story. I’m only on page 116 of 300 something, but I’m liking it so far.” - Christina

the same author, and the illustrations are done by a guy who did concept

“Mandie Series by Lois Gladys Leppard. This is a wonderful series and I have been trying to find out about any newer books so I can share them with my daughter. I loved them when I was younger, and they are still fun to read!” - Rachel
