A biography of me[Steven Holl]

I just started out a normal kid...just like you when one day I saw bikers going off of jumps on the X-Games. That reminded me of the jumps I used to build with a very stiff piece of wood and bricks laying on the far end to prop it up. I wanted to be a "trick biker" (my old name fo a freestyler), until my friends got me into BMX and motocross. Now I watch every supercross and motocross race on television and have presently been to a live amatuer/pro race at Broome-Tioga in August '96. McGrath, Emig, Huges, Lamson, Windham, Pichon, Dowd, and Lorocco are among my favorites.

Now back to BMX-

Soon my friends and I were building four foot tabletops in empty lots in our developments, and riding at dirt bike trails often (A place where I broke my wrist-but I persist to ride there.). Later we found a track that is pretty hidden, and filled it with doubles and a few rollers. We have three berms from dirt bikers, and also have a big dip with a built up lip to launch three feeet higher into the air-our finish line jump. We will make it so SICK there will be just about no room to acclerate except a t the starting gate, which we will put in also. Thanx for reading the history of BMX on my life. I appreaciate it.
