BCHS Weightlifting Program

INTRODUCTION


The Brethren Christian weight lifting program is based on strength, power, and speed. These are the most important parts of the football game. The athlete is trained in task-specific that closely mirror the activity that the player is planning for. The exercises used by the Brethren Christian football team are those that will develop the play in a direction that all coaches what. Gains in Power, Strength, and Speed.

Each lift has been chosen because of its relationship to football movements. The work listed has been stream lined to get the most out of the players in the short lighting time. Like most collegiate and prep program the emphasis is on Olympic lifts.

These lifts build power by forcing the player to overcome the force of the weight. The idea of this put the player into a situation that builds power and speed during the lift.
