Carly Schilling is an 8th grader at Taft Middle School in Crown Point, where she started at the 4 position for the 17-1 Taft Lady Tigers. Carly has played for Crown Point AAU teams the past 2 years. Quick and determined, Carly has a real instinct for bringing down the rebounds and converting with putbacks. But, opponents cannot rest easy when she roams the arc, where she's been known to hit the 3-pointer at key moments. Look for Carly to make an impact during her years to come at Crown Point High School.
Personal Career Highlights

Carly's career highlights include the following:
  • averaging 9 rebounds per game as the leading rebounder for her 8th grade middle school team
  • pulling down 18 rebounds in one game against Warsaw during the 1998 eighth grade season
  • receiving the 1997 MVP award for her age group at Crown Point Varsity Girls Coach Tom May's summer basketball camp
  • starting for the first team at the St. Joe's College freshman camp last summer when Crown Point won the "NCAA Division" tournament championship game against Martinsville
  • prevailing as the Lake 10 Middle School Conference champions during the 7th and 8th grade regular season
Goals for the Upcoming Season

Carly's goals for the upcoming season include improving her offensive game by remaining confident, taking more shots, raising her assist numbers as much as possible, and continuing to improve her foot speed and agility.
