A full complement of players showed up for the pre-Christmas game. Rich, Doug, Chris, Jim and Eric assembled to play one the oldest courses, Santa Clara's Central Park.

Four players claimed deuces on hole one, as Chris suffered a penalty from the big OB parking lot around the green area. Chris came right back with a long deuce at hole two, matching Rich's deuce. Eric found some OB sand on two as the pack started to separate. At the first over the water hole, Doug and Rich hit deuces, while Eric and Chris each left a disc in the pond. Jim made a long deuce on hole five and Doug carded the only deuce at hole six. After nine holes, Doug had a 24, for a one stroke lead over Rich and a two stroke lead over Jim. Eric and Chris were over par.

Doug suffered an OB on hole ten allowing Rich to catch up. Jim managed the only par on hole eleven, to close in on the lead. Doug, Rich and Eric all had deuces on hole twelve. Rich opened up a lead, as Doug bogeyed holes thirteen and sixteen, while he was parring. Doug tried to track him down with a deuce at hole seventeen, but Rich came up with a deuce also. Rich ended up with a two stroke victory and a sub par 51 round for the day. Doug - 53, Jim - 56, Eric - 62, and Chris - 67.
