Rich joined Doug for a round at Oak Meadow. Doug threaded the window at hole one to get within putting range and claimed the first deuce of the day. Both players hit for deuce on the next hole. After skipping hole five, because a parked car was next to the tree, Doug hit for a deuce on the trash can at the top of hill. At the "Y" slingshot-shaped tree, Doug hit an amazing deuce. After nine holes Doug held w three stroke lead, 24 to 27.

That lead started evaporating fast, as Rich deuced hole ten, while Doug bogeyed.Bogeys found the score card for Rich on hole twelve and then Doug on hole fourteen. The wheels came off for Doug on fifteen as his approach went long and into the street. Another bogey on sixteen sealed it for Rich. For the day, Rich had 27-28 for a 55. Doug finished 24-33 for a 57.
