November 14th, 1998

Doug waited a liitle past the normal starting time of 7:30, because Chris had communicated that he would be there. About 7:40, Chris arrived, having underestimated the travel time a little and also being unfamiliar with the destination park. Doug was happy to to have another player as he and Chris set off to player Oak Grove, the beautifil forested park of Almaden Valley. The grass was trimmed down, so that searching for discs was not a problem.

Doug managed a single deuce on the fron nine, along with a bunch of pars to make the turn at one under. Chris struggled with some new discs and the tree-lined fairways and rounded the turn over par. Through the back nine, Chris found the par route and even claimed a deuce, to finish at one over par on the back nine. Doug had an amazing blicnd deuce at hole seventeen to go along with a bunch of pars to finish at par for the back nine and one under for the day.

Around hole thirteen a local walker, Jerry, started following the players and watching out of curiousity. After three holes of watching, he was loaned some discs, and joined in for the final few holes to try it out, as the group finished their round. After the official round was completed, Jerry and Chris decided to play some more holes for fun. We hope maybe Jerry will join us again some time, as he was given a schedule.
