Doug, Jim, Rich and Sam assembled to play Central II. Everybody started with a couple of par holes. At hole three, Rich separated himself from the pack with the first deuce of the day, capping off a long, effective roller. Meanwhile Doug and Sam were bogeying. Rich followed with another deuce on the next hole. Doug made a charge with a pair of consecutive deuce starting at hole four. Jim also claimed his first deuce at hole five. Rich relinquished the lead with a double-bogey at hole six. Jim nailed another deuce at hole seven to take the lead. After nine holes Jim had a 26. Rich and Doug were tied at 27 and Sam had a 30.
Sam started the back nine with deuce on hole ten. Rich fell back with a bogey on hole ten, but came right back with a deuce on hole eleven. Holes thirteen and fourteen played tough as more bogeys than pars were recorded, including two more by Rich. Rich then decided to get tough and finished with four straight deuces to pass everyone in the stretch. A deuce by Jim at hole seventeen, kept it close, but Rich's closing deuce was the deciding stroke. Rich's five deuces on the back nine, coupled with 3 bogeys, gave him a 25 on the back nine and a 52 overall. Jim finished with a 53, Doug a 55 and Sam 58.
