John Davis welcomed Doug Korns and Tom Ford, from Santa Rosa, to his home course at La Colina Park. La Colina played as a rugged and tough course as 4's and 5's littered the score card. Doug managed a deuce at hole six, mostly with some generous spotting by the other players. After nine holes, it was a tight match with Doug and John tied at 30,and Tom one stroke behind them.

At hole ten, Tom to pulled even with the field with a par, while the rest bogeyed. Tom hit a long deuce on the next hole to stay even with John, who had a super drive to also get a deuce. Tom had a bogey at hole fifteen to slip back with Doug and another bogey at sixteen to fall behind the pack. Doug managed a par on seventeen which brought him even with John. At eighteen, John had quite a short drive, while Doug got within range. Another conservative shot by John, left him with a tough shot for par which he was unable to convert. Doug, needing a par for a win, sailed his approach over the fence into the street for an OB. The easy come backer left him with a bogey too.

When the scores were tallied, Tom had a 61, while Doug and John both had a 59. John has been winner or tied for winner in his last four outings. John Davis is obviously a force to be reckoned with when he shows up.
