Doug was a little confused on the playing site and arrived incorrectly at Foothill College, the site for the following week. After realizing his error, he raced back to West Valley College, calculating how late he would be, and how many penalty strokes that would translate into based on how many holes he missed. He arrived 7 minutes late and found Chris and Sam waiting still since they didn't know the course. Doug apologized and assessed himself 6 strokes for being late by two holes worth of play.

Chris jumped into the early lead with the only par on hole one. Sam joined the leaders with the first deuce at hole two after a marvelous drive. Chris retook the lead with another par on hole three. Doug ran off a bunch of pars as the bogey bug started biting Chris and Sam. After nine holes, it was Doug -37 and Chris and Sam at 38.

Sam had the only penalty stroke of the day with a lost disk in the thorny brush along side hole ten. Again he came back with a deuce on hole twelve, parking his drive about six feet from the tree. Chris had the best drive on hole thirteen and converted it for a deuce. Scores improved on the back nine from the front, and Doug managed the most pars and fewest bogeys. After eighteen holes the score tallied to be Doug - 67, Sam - 72, Chris - 74.
