A sunny day at Kelley Park found four player ready to play. Doug, Jim, and Chris were joined by second-timer Alson Kemp. Doug took an early lead at hole one with the only par. Hole two brought deuces for Doug, Jim and Chris. Hole five was skipped due to the presence of park ranger trucks and a make-up hole was played between hole seven and eight. Chris had a long drive that he converted for a deuce, while Doug hit a long approach for a deuce. Chris followed on hole nine with another deuce, matched by Jim. After nine holes, Doug and Chris were tied at 25, Jim had 27 and Alson 38.
Jim gained a stroke on the leaders with a deuce on hole eleven and pulled even on hole twelve as Doug bogeyed. Doug and Jim matched deuces on hole hole sixteen and then Jim pulled ahead on the next hole with a very long deuce. For the day, Jim went 27-25 for a 52. Doug scored 25-28 for 53 and Chris finished at 25-31 for a 56. Alson came down on the back nine to 35 for a 73 for the day.
