Eric Mickelson and Jim Hauer met in a one on one face-off at the Vasona B. Par seemed out of reach most of the round. Eric's 29 was good enough for the lead after nine holes, but a circled five at hole 17 made for a 30 on the back nine holes, for a 59 total. Jim Hauer had two circled scores at hole six and eight to come in at 31 for the front nine holes, and then managed a sub-par 25 on the back nine. A deuce at hole sixteen gave him the lead for the day and the winning score for the week, as Eric faded at the end.
