The grass at Oak Grove was high from the El Nino rains. Play was slowed by searching for discs in the tall, wet grasses. Rich Norris, Eric Mickelson, and Jim Hauer gathered to play at the wooded park. Eric set the pace on the front nine with three deuces, but two bogeys held him to one under par. Rich managed a par with a deuce and a bogey. Jim had two deuces, but a bogey and double-bogey left him at 29 after nine holes.

Rich had to depart after hole eleven, leaving Jim to chase Eric. Both players finished strong. Jim carded three deuces on the back nine, to finish under par at 53. With five deuces and a bogey on the back nine, added to Eric's front nine of 26, gave him a sizzling 49 and Winner of the Week.
