El Niño weather welcomed Rich, Doug and Eric to West Valley College. Luckily at 7:30AM, the rain diminished enough to allow play.

Eric had an OB in the street on hole one, but no one went on the roof. Doug had two good throws to get a par on hole one and take an early one stroke lead. Eric gained back a stroke at hole two with a bogey while Doug and Rich flailed to double-bogeys. Eric and Doug recorded the first deuces of the day at the short hole three. At hole five, the "Hall of horror", Eric did not enter the hall and got stuck with a five while Doug and Rich made good shots to par.

At hole eight, Doug played a conservative, but perfect, over the bridge shot and slid up to the fire hydrant for an easy two, while everybody else got in trouble going over the canyon and had bogeys. Eric's drive was unfindable at hole nine, as he carded his second penalty of the nine. After nine holes, Doug had the lead with 28, with Rich and Eric at 4 and 5 over par, respectively.

Doug and Rich claimed deuces at hole ten and Rich made a long putt for another at hole eleven. Doug came back with long deuces at the utility box of hole twelve and another amazing deuce at hole thirteen. Bogeys plagued everyone at the next hole, but Rich came back with a deuce at the fire hydrant of hole fifteen.

Pars and a couple of bogeys marked the remaining holes as Doug and Rich came in at one under par for the nine. For Doug, this brought him to a par 54 for the day, to be this week's winner. Rich had a 58 while Eric bogeyed his way to a 63.

Rain gear was, again, the necessity of the day
