Doug and Rich started out as a twosome at Foothill College on a cool and wet ground morning. Rich gave up 2 strokes to Doug on hole one and another stroke on hole two.

Eric joined the group after hole three. He had a mental lapse and started driving to work! Starting with nine penalty stroke, Eric was glad to be there that day.

Eric got into the swing of things by deucing hole five to pick up a stroke, but clobbered his score with an OB for a 7 on hole nine. Scores after nine holes were Doug and Rich at 4 and 5 over par.

Doug deuced hole ten and fourteen, while Rich and Eric both deuced hole fifteen. That was it for the deuce parade as several bogeys were carded.

Doug was able to hold onto the three stroke advantage over Rich, finishing with a 57 on the tough Foothill course. Rich finished with a 60, his first score in the 60's since 1996. Eric was happy to finish in the 60's!
