Four Deuces made the rounds at one of their oldest and most favorite courses, Cuesta I. Conditions were somewhat soggy due to recent rain, but external rain gear was not needed for the first time this year.

Doug, previous winner of the week, started off with a good drive and then missed a drop put at hole one to fall behind the field. After nine holes Eric had had three deuces and built up a two stroke lead over Doug and Jim. Doug had hit three deuces also, but two bogies on "fumble" putts had dragged him back. John was two stroke behind them. The short holes yielded no aces today, but there were many near misses.

Doug suddenly came to life on the back nine with four deuces in a row to grab the lead. He slammed the door with another fairly long deuce on hole 17, while everybody else had to settle for three. Doug's eight deuces lead him to Winner of the Week with a 48 total. Everybody got under par as Eric, Jim and John finished at 51,52,and 53 respectively.

I guess this blurred picture of Doug must have been the view from everybody else's perspective as he flew to the front. Maybe the photographer was a little shaky.
