A slight drizzle greeted three players again. Wet conditions produced an uninspiring first nine as Rich managed par for the first half with Jim and Doug following at one and two strokes over par respectively.

Doug and Jim made up those strokes over the next two holes and after eleven holes it was all even, Doug moved into the lead at hole twelve and continued to pull away, carding a 23 for the back nine to finish 2 under par. Jim and Rich struggled through wet conditions and out of bounds at the "Chamber of Deuces" to finish over par.

After they retrieved their discs from the roof, they got this mug shot of Doug as his first Winner of the Week for 1998.
