A steady drizzling rain greeted the four players who arrived at Vasona Park. Eric, Doug, Sam and Chris donned their raingear and waterproof footwear and set off for what was to be a wet round.

Hole one found everyone with a par, but hole separated everyone as the scores went 3, 4, 5, and 6 with Eric getting the 3. Eric increased his lead with a 4 on hole three as everyone else claimed a 5, struggling with wet plastic. Eric got the first deuce of the day at hole four and moved away from the pack with a commanding lead. Sam gained some ground on the field at hole seven, with a massive hanging drive over the lake to get a par. Doug and Chris both had an O.B. shot into the lake to get a four, while Eric playing cautiously claimed a safe four. Doug and Sam both hit deuces at hole eight to cap off the highlights of the from nine. Eric held the lead after nine with a 28. Doug was two strokes back, Sam three and Chris six.

Sam hurt his chances with a 5 on hole ten, but came right back with two deuces on the next two holes. The second deuce was a spectacular long shot to the fire hydrant after a great drive. Eric gave up two strokes of his lead after an errant roller made it into the lake. Everybody played pretty steady par golf the rest of the way. Eric, Doug and Sam all claimed deuces at hole seventeen for the remaining highlights.

The score sheet was too wet to read after the round and had to be dried out to determined the final score. After phone consultation to recap and clarify the score sheet, Eric's 28-28 for a 56 was good enough for the victory. Doug and Sam both played par 27's on the back nine to close the gap that Eric had at the halfway point. Chris had five pars on the back nine, but one bad hole on the back nine, left him at the tail end of the pack.
