Here at Mentone, we've decided to reinvent ourselves with the webpage and try to make it a major means of communication between the decision makers and the members.
It is hoped that all club members will support the concept. We hope to move as much of our information via the Information Superhighway (as opposed to the Nepean Highway), which will help keep the club's costs down with regard to communication, and provide an opportunity to enhance the facilities and keep our fees as low as possible.
We are all about Athletics, and we love it, and hope that all the members (and non-members) can help us with the development of our sport. We hope to be informative, and entertaining, with a background of the sport that we love. If there is anything that you feel we can do to make it a little more up-vibe and interesting, then email US and he will see what he can do. Remember - This is our Planet.
Athletics, although an individual sport, is one where having a good gang of team-mates to cheer you on makes a big difference. Mentone is a club that prides itself on making a lot of noise and being a fun place to hang out. Our club has a good mix of athletes, with lots of promising juniors, male and female, some outstanding prospects just out of junior ranks, throwers, jumpers, runners, and a few older blokes (like André) who just get a kick out of pretending that their singlets still fit.

COMING EVENTS
Our Track - The submission formulated by Garry Spencer and Andrew Farr for funding for a new track was been passed on to the State Government by the Kingston Council and have received notice that the submission was approved. We will be holding fundraising activities and the like to help contribute to the extra $21,000 that we need to find before construction begins.
RECENTLY AROUND MENTONE.......
Emma Cochrane is off to Beijing (that is China, I think) for the World University Games in September. Best of Luck Emma. ( I remember now, the Olympics are gonna be there!!)
Gabrielle Neighbour broke her right ankle. Matt Brown had an arthroscopy on his left ankle. Aaron has made his way from Thailand to Holland - no one has any idea as to when we may have him grace the rings at Mentone again.
