BBMAK
ON
THEIR ROCK STAR LINKS
BBMAK, who released their debut single,
'Back Home' this week, dropped into the dotmusic offices at London Bridge
today
to play an exclusive live version of
their single and talk
about their connections with some of
rock music's biggest names.
Like Rod Stewart for instance.
"Yeah I played bagpipes with him at
Old Trafford about seven years ago," says 20-year-old Mark Barry, blushing.
"I was English bagpipes champion when
I was 14.
Will I be playing them live? Well maybe
when we do our first
really big gig and the lads are getting
changed I can do
a number on the bagpipes."
Not to be outdone, guitarist Ste McNally
has an
even hipper musical skeleton in the
closet.
"I was taught to play guitar by Liam
from Cast," he says.
"We did a gig with them recently and
I hadn't seen him for six years -
he hadn't shaved since then. I said
'remember me',
and he recognised my face but I was
only fifteen back then.
But it was cool being taught by the
lead guitarist off Cast;
he's a nice bloke."
