Kitten Sagas

St KildaWent kitten hunting today. Well I thought it was meant to be a purchasing expedition, but apparently NOT!
It seems that I was misinformed (By whom I don't know), and the real reason for the exercise was to look. Well I wasn't really impressed with this idea, so I sulked in the car. We found some kittens at the RSPCA, but they were all ginger. I don't really have a colour preference, but our neighbours on all three sides have ginger cats, and I don't think another one would add anything to the general cat mileu that goes on in our backyard. I sort of want a tortoise shell one, that is mostly white with orange, black and tabby splotchy markings, or a silver and white tabby. Our moogli who died recently was a birman, and I'm keeping away from breeds this time, I just want to get a robust, independent, moggy.
Well I didn't see one that I really liked, but I am determined to get one. Woobie is so lonely, and bored since Moogli's been gone, he's driving me banana's. Everytime he wants to wrestle, or play or have a bite and growl, he wakes me up or bites my ankles. Him and Moogli were forever scrapping, and I'm turning out to be a poor substitute.
I have to work later today, I have a stack of data entry for a new campaign that's starting, and with my nimble(NOT) fingers I got the job.
After we went cat hunting, we went to the cinema. We indulged our juvenile, stupid, high school homour, in its once yearly outing and went to see "Beavis and Butthead...." not having a great deal of exposure to these two, only seeing 10 or so "episodes" put together for Aust TV, it was something akin to watching my first "The Young Ones" episode when I was 13. I laughed myself silly. Tears, crossed legs, the works. The audience was filled with 13 year old kids, mostly boys, and they and us had a great time. "Are you threatening me??" "I am Cornholio, surrender to my BUNG-hole", I giggle now.
