Farewell '98: Our farewell.. lets see.. hmm.. what can I say about it? Interesting????Certainly., Avant garde? Maybe. Giving credit where it is due, an extremely predominant aspect of it was, perhaps, the degree of effort and yes a sense of overwhelming enthusiasm which distinguished it
from other more mundane and perfunctory farewells, that I have attended (Zamin, still haven’t forgiven you for the O’level farewell). As expected some titles were incongruous, but besides that the farewell was a pretty neat affair. Thank you little kids for at least making my evening a memorable one.
Ps: loved the fashion show.. how in the world did you get all those guyz
to strut their extremely cute booties??? Commendable girlz..

Bake Sale:The A-Level students held a bakesale on Sept. 8th which turned out to be a huge success. The profit made has been collected for the social and environmental club and will go to the benefits of various projects. Food ranged from cookies to chohlas, pies to pizza’s and drinks to help cool the over worked students on a hot day. Over four thousands rupees were made in under one hour, which simply goes to show that students are willing to take part in a worthy cause…..and some of us CAN cook!

Flood:A little rain never hurts anyone?? Well, that was proven wrong in the case of BSS. A couple hours of rain was enough to stop all function's of the Darakshah campus for over two days. The students had the pleasure of being soaked to the bones and the classes were wet inside out. The A-2's enjoyed a couple periods playing volleyball and soccer in the rain. If you listened closely there were many different versions of "Singing in The Rain" being performed". The whole of the basement was flooded, the water reaching to 12 inches high in some areas. During the peak of the rain the junior side of the school very literrally had a waterfall cascading down the stairs. Without any choice, the management was forced to take FOUR whole days to pump the water out. The school remains wet with a slight stink ... other than that most of the students wish for another few days of rain.

Sports: Beaconhouse A' level second years beat the Lyceum School in a pretty tight Volley Ball match. The visitors played a very good first set beating the hosts fair and square. However, the spirit of winning was reborn and Beaconites outplayed them in the final two sets winning the best of three game. Ghazanfar Raza was declared the Man of the Match. The credit also goes to the Beaconhouse cheerleading team specially Yousuf and the arrival of Mrs Zuberi.

Team: Farooq (C), Aqueeb (VC) Babar, Obaid, Ghazanfar, Kamran, Shehzad, Zamin, Sarah and Ali. DNP Yousuf, Azlan, Atiqa, Maham. Score could not be obtained.

A Throw Ball match was held at Beaconhouse Defence Campus between the girls home team and Lyceum school. The Beaconhouse girls were beaten amidst loud chanting crowd. Maybe next time girls!!! Mutual comments from boys: Lyceum girls were awesome!!
