MORE ABOUT THE SYSTEM...

Beaconhouse School System aims to provide quality education of an international standard within our cultural framework. We aim for excellence through quality management, quality training and quality teaching bringing benefit to our students, the community, the country and wider world No two schools are the same, even within the Beaconhouse School System. Yet although each and every school possesses its own individuality and distinctive characteristics, it is through our unity that we gain our strength. The Beaconhouse school system was founded in 1975 and has its origin in Les Anges Montessori Academy. B.S.S is the oldest and largest private school system in Pakistan. Today, it has over 33,000 students and in excess of 2900 teachers and 600 other staff members spread over 80 schools in 21 cities or towns of Pakistan. Thus, an overall student to teacher ratio of 12:1 compares to international standards.

Curriculum

The objective of the B.S.S is to provide a sound and broad-based academic education for all its students. To facilitate this an attempt is made to make the learning process more and more student centered. The students are hence active participants in their own education, not just passive receivers of instruction.

Results

B.S.S offers O' and A' levels. The success rate in examinations by Beaconhouse students is remarkable.. Internal Assessment and reporting: A student's academic process is monitored in various ways; informally by the teacher's observation, and more formally by assessment of classwork, tests and examinations. The search is still on for more effective ways to assess and report on over-all progress.

Inter-School and Inter-Regional Competitions

Athletics, Cricket and Debating competitions are an annual feature and held in different Regions by rotation.

School Clubs and Societies

A variety of extra-curricular activities, include Scouting and Guiding, Debating and Drama.

Newsletters and Magazines

Parents are kept informed about current activities and forthcoming events. The School Magazine allows students to air their views and encourages them to contribute. Parents of B.S.S students play a very positive role and it is their constant support, total cooperation and firm belief in the system that has capacitated it to impart knowledge and to nurture an all round development in the young saplings who are the future of our country.

An Overview
The objective of education is not only to assist students to excel in the academic field but also to help them turn out as better human beings.Since its foundation the BSS system, has upheld its goal of responding to the present and anticipating the future. Education's value is measured by its application to an individual's life during and beyond college. The BSS system provides you with an integrated context right from childhood - in which you develop intellectually, ethically, socially, thereby becoming fully prepared for a rich and varied life.

A student faculty ratio like that of senior school allows instructors to get to know you, your interests and your contributions. Best of all, the atmosphere is always comfortable and congenial. Sports and extra-curricular activities are an important part of school life at Beaconhouse, you have ample opportunity to participate. We field competitive teams in a large number of sports. There are other ways to stay active as well, such as volunteering in a fund raising program (like the recent Fund raising Fair).
