Q: What were your duties? A: I contributed a lot toward our bill in the committee. I was the recorder, and was to keep the minutes of our meeting. On the Senate Floor, I voted on bills and spoke about them.
Q: What is Student Congress? A: Learning the governmental process, feeling like a part of the system...It has made me much more aware of what is happening. |

This is a great experience, and I highly recommend it. |

Q: What did you learn of value in Lansing? A: I learned a lot about Parliamentary Procedure, writing bills, thinking on a larger scale, and how to speak better.
Q: "Student Congress is a great experience for someone who..." A: ...enjoys discussing "real issues", and finding solutions to problems. It is for anyone who is interested in politics, is altruistic, and feels they could make a difference. |
