My brother's Bar Mitzvah was Casino Night. They rented real equipment, and everything. A couple of us, On The Inside, worked the games, while Sharona's friends assisted and or served. As I recall, Ali did Roulette, Melinda and one of Sharona's friends did Blackjack, another of her friends passed out fake cigarettes, my father and mother passed out food and mediated the whole thing. I was given the Craps table. I figured, no problem, seven and eleven, I can manage this.

After reading the instructions to this game, I understand why I have never seen an electronic version of this game. This would have to be a Master's Degree course at UNLV. Let me see if I can impart the instructions of this game to you.

On your first roll, you want to get a natural, if you placed your money on Pass. If you get a natural, that's a seven, or eleven, you win 2x. If you get craps, apparently named because that's what you say when you roll it, which is snake eyes or boxcars, or in other words two or twelve, on your first turn, then you automatically lose. On the other hand, if you roll anything other than a two, seven, eleven, or twelve, then you get a Point Number. In order to win the 2x, you have to get the point number before you roll a natural. Craps are inconsequential. If you get the Natural, though, you lose.

Unless of course, they bet on Not Pass, in which case you don't want to get a natural. If you get a natural, that's a seven, or eleven, you lose. If you get craps, on the first turn, then you automatically win 2x. On the other hand, if you roll anything other than a two, seven, eleven, or twelve, then you get a Point Number. In order to win the 2x, you have to get a natural before you roll the point number. Craps are inconsequential. If you get the Natural, though, you win.

Basically, The Line is the same as Pass, except that you can place the money in the middle of The Roller's attempt to get the point number. If The Roller gets a natural, that's a seven, or eleven, when you put the money down, you win 2x. If The Roller get craps, which is snake eyes or boxcars, or in other words two or twelve, on the first turn where you put the money on The Line, then you automatically lose. On the other hand, if The Roller rolls anything other than a two, seven, eleven, or twelve, then you get the Point Number. In order to win the 2x, The Roller has to get the point number before The Roller rolls a natural. Craps are inconsequential. If the Roller gets the Natural, though, you lose.

Commercial break:

OK, we now return...

Then you have the middle board on the individual numbers. First, you have Doubles. Ranging from Double Twos to Double Fives, you can get from 4x to 8x depending on which one was rolled.

Then there's the craps section. You get 15x if you predict that the certain roll will be Craps. 30x, if you guess which one you get. 4x if you correctly guess that it will be a Natural. 5x if you correctly guessed it was a seven, and 8x if you correctly guessed 11.

Then there's the Point Numbers that you can bet on. You can put money down on any number that is not a Natural, nor Craps, and you'll get 2x back if your number is rolled before a Natural, or Craps is rolled.

::Pant, Pant::

^Easy game.^

And, on top of that, the kids of course try to steal the chips, and it goes without saying that they try to cheat and move the chips.

Of course the house should win. They deserve to after having to put up with all that.
